Ghouse Akbar is the Chairman of Akbar Group. He has focused on a concept of partnering with “best in class” companies in each sector such as UPS in the courier industry, Nike in Sportswear, Amadeus in Global Distribution Systems, LVMH watch and Jewelry in the luxury sector, Singapore Airlines in the airline sector and Fauji Foundation in the infrastructure sector.

He has been decorated with one of the highest civil honors in Pakistan, Sitara-e-Imtiaz. In 2006, he was once again decorated by the Government with the Sitara-e-Esaar for his assistance with the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan.

In 2013 Ghouse was appointed as The Honorary Consul of Spain in Karachi. Ghouse is a graduate from Brown University with double major in Political Science and Economics and an MBA from INSEAD.

Mr. Ghais is a very seasoned professional with a very vast experience in the travel sector. He completed a Hotel Management course in Austria and joined the Akbar Group in 1982 as Sales officer for Thai Airways.

In 1986, he was promoted to Sales Manager and in 1993 became Resident Director for North Pakistan. In 1993 he was given additional responsibilities as REGIONAL GENERAL MANAGER Shaheen Airline (joint venture).

He continued to excel and in 1996 became the Vice president of Akbar group. He was appointed as CEO of Uinversal Logistic services in 2012. In 2015 he became the Group Head of Akbar Group, and is still working in the same capacity.

As the Chief Executive Officer of ULS – a company representing UPS - focused on Special Projects in Pakistan, Jamshed is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of the company, driving its business development through accelerated growth and focus by ensuring all key stakeholders achieve optimum returns.

He is a senior corporate executive with a major focus on financial services and maritime. His career spans over 39 years in blue chip multinationals at a senior level in a regional and global capacity with a solid track record of achievements. In his prior roles he was the Regional Director, Marketing Services - Asia Pacific with American Express, in Hong Kong, their regional hub. Moving towards maritime, in 2002 he took up the responsibility as the Global Head of Marketing for Norasia Container Line, part of a Chilean Shipping group, based out of Hong Kong. Appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Global Marketing for Emirates Shipping Line in 2006 he launched and successfully promoted and established the brand worldwide.

Jamshed was the Chairman of the Marketing Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce – the largest International Chamber in Hong Kong for 2 consecutive years, 2007 and 2008. He has been invited as a key note speaker at various trade and marketing related conferences in Hong Kong, Singapore, China and Dubai. He has been covered in the trade media.

Mr. Adil Matcheswala, a graduate of Brown University with an A.B. in Economics is the CEO and founding Director of Speed (Private) Limited, a retail and distribution company that is incorporated in Pakistan.

It has amongst it’s portfolio, numerous leading international brands such as Nike, Adidas, Asics, Tag Heuer, Charles & Keith, Pedro and Timex.

Mr. Muhammad Naveed Zamir joined the Akbar Group in 1987. He worked with Sri Lankan Airlines for over 17 years, serving as the Sales Manager from 1998 to 2004.

In April 2004 he was appointed as the Director Commercial of Princely Travels and has been leading Princely Travels as the Chief Executive Officer from August 2010 onwards.
